Moultonborough, NH | Residential Pickleball Court Installation (Lakes Region)

Project Overview: This new pickleball court in Moultonborough, New Hampshire is a testament to what proper site prep can do for a challenging build. Located in the heart of the Lakes Region, the property sat on notably wet land, requiring real engineering work before a single tile could go down. The result is a 30′ x 50′ dedicated pickleball court built on a foundation designed to perform for years to come.

Site Preparation

Wet land requires the right team and the right process. We partnered with Stephens Landscaping to properly prep the site before installation:
  • Underground drainage was installed to manage water flow and protect the court from long-term moisture issues.
  • Structural fill was brought in to build up and stabilize the base.
  • Approximately 12 inches of crushed stone was added for proper compaction and drainage support.
Once the base was ready, our team poured the concrete pad on site, adding relief cuts into the surface for extra crack protection, an important step for any court built on land with this much water pressure.

Court Surface and Design: SportGame Pickleball Tile

  • Field: Green tiles cover the surrounding area outside the pickleball court boundaries.
  • Pickleball Court: Tennis Blue tiles define the dedicated playing surface, offering strong contrast against the green field.
  • Game Lines: Clean white paint marks the pickleball lines for clear, permanent visibility.

Equipment

  • Net System: Inground black Putterman pickleball posts were installed, featuring internal wind mechanisms and removable sleeves for a clean, permanent setup that can be pulled when not in use.

Project Highlights

This Moultonborough build shows what’s possible even on difficult land. By combining proper drainage, structural fill, crushed stone, and a reinforced concrete pad, this court was engineered to hold up against the wet conditions common in the Lakes Region. Paired with a clean Green and Tennis Blue tile layout and a professional inground net system, this court is built to last and ready for serious play.
