Project Overview: This Lake Placid, New York project transformed a worn, outdated tennis court into a modern 58′ x 118′ multi-sport game court supporting tennis, basketball, and pickleball play. The old court and surrounding fence were fully removed to make way for a court system designed for versatility, durability, and years of active use in the Adirondacks.
Site Preparation
This was a full teardown and rebuild from the ground up:
- Demolition: The old tennis court surface and existing fence were removed.
- Tree Work: Select tree clearing opened up the site and improved sun exposure and airflow across the new court.
- Site Work: Additional grading and prep ensured a properly leveled, stable base for the new installation.
Court Surface and Design
- Tile: PrimePlay tile system in a custom Tennis Blue, Green, and Dark Blue color scheme creates clear visual zoning across the three sports sharing this surface.
- Game Lines:
- Tennis: White lines mark the full tennis court layout.
- Basketball: White half-court lines share the surface cleanly alongside the tennis layout.
- Pickleball: Black lines provide strong contrast and easy visibility for dedicated pickleball play.
Fencing
- 358 linear feet of 10-foot chain link fencing fully encloses the new court, replacing the old fence with a taller, more durable perimeter system.
- Three gates provide multiple access points around the court for convenient entry from different areas of the property.
Equipment
- Basketball System: A Pro Slam adjustable hoop with a 48-inch arm and 72-inch backboard delivers a true, professional-grade basketball experience.
- Tennis Net: An inground Putterman tennis net system offers a clean, permanent, tournament-quality setup.
