About Hampton, NH
History
Hampton was first settled in 1638 by a group of colonists led by Reverend Stephen Bachiler, who established a fishing village at the site. It was originally part of Hampton Falls, and later became its own town in 1726. Hampton played an important role in the American Revolution, as it was the site of the first naval battle of the war, known as the Battle of Hampton Roads.
Hampton is located in Rockingham County, NH, and has a population of about 14,000 people. It is a beautiful town situated on the Hampton River, with sandy beaches and rolling hills. There are many historic homes and buildings in Hampton, as well as a variety of shops and businesses. The town is also home to Hampton Academy, a prestigious private school.

Sports Teams
Hampton is home to the Hampton Roadrunners, a youth soccer team that competes in the New Hampshire Soccer Association. The Roadrunners are a non-profit organization that provides training and competitive opportunities for children ages 4-18.
The Hampton High School basketball team is also very successful, winning the state championship in 2017. Hampton also has a variety of other sports teams, including baseball, softball, and lacrosse.
